Showtime Acquires ‘Beyond The Aggressives: 25 Years Later’, Music Supervised by Taylor Rowley

Showtime Documentary Films has acquired Beyond the Aggressives: 25 Years Later, music supervised by Taylor Rowley (she/her), for distribution on Showtime and Paramount Plus. The feature documentary is the sequel to director Daniel Peddle’s groundbreaking documentary about masculine-presenting BIPOC who were assigned female at birth, in which the four original protagonists return to reflect on the past two decades and what might be in store for them going into the future. Variety mentions that “The new chapter also delves into how much the language, culture and visibility of the trans community has evolved and grapples with many of the complexities around gender identity and representation.” (Variety)

The documentary has its world premiere today, October 18th, at NewFest in New York City and will screen theatrically in New York and Los Angeles on November 17th during Transgender Awareness Week. On Showtime it will premiere this upcoming spring on streaming and on demand before making its on-air debut at a later date.
