Lizzo's Watch Out For The Big Grrrls Emmy for Outstanding Competition Program

Amazon’s competition series Lizzo’s Watch Out For The Big Grrrls, scored by EmmoLei Sankofa, won big at the 2022 Primetime Emmy Awards! The excitement began when the series took home two Emmys at the creative arts Emmy ceremony on September 5. Series director Nneka Onuorah accepted the Emmy for Outstanding Directing For A Reality Program and the picture editing team of Deidre Panziera, Hannah Carpenter, Brian Murphy, and Jeanie Phillips took home the Emmy for Outstanding Picture Editing For A Structured Reality or Competition Program.

On September 12, Lizzo took the stage, joined by her Big Grrrls back up dancers - the show’s contestants - to accept the Emmy for Outstanding Competition Program. Watch the moment the series won and Lizzo’s acceptance speech below.
