The American Film Institute (AFI) announced today the Grand Jury Award winners and Special Mentions for AFI Fest 2024, which included the French short “Two People Exchanging Saliva,” music supervised by Taylor Rowley (she/her) and directed by Alexandre Singh and Natalia Musteata. The short won the Grand Jury Prize under the Live Action Short category, with the jury stating, “At a commendable 36 minutes, this film illustrates how desire and yearning can clash in a capitalistic society while showcasing queerness as commonplace.”

With this win, “Two People Exchanging Saliva” is now eligible for Academy Award consideration. We are incredibly proud of Taylor’s contribution to the project and wish her all the best of luck with this short film moving forward!
