Taylor Rowley Music Supervises ‘Beyond The Aggressives’, NewFest World Premiere

At this year’s 35th annual NewFest, New York’s largest presenter of LGBTQ+ film & media, Beyond the Aggressives: 25 Years Later, music supervised by Taylor Rowley (she/her), will be having its world premiere as a documentary centerpiece. Directed by Daniel Peddle, this is a follow-up to the groundbreaking documentary THE AGGRESSIVES from two decades ago that “showcased the remarkable stories of Chin, Octavio, Trevon, and Kisha — a watershed moment of visibility for masc-presenting BIPOC individuals that gave voice to a community that hadn’t seen themselves authentically represented in cinema before. Now, nearly 20 years later, the same four protagonists reunite to reflect on their past and envision new futures.”

“Interwoven with fresh voices from the wider queer BIPOC community, the highly anticipated BEYOND THE AGGRESSIVES: 25 YEARS LATER continues to challenge normative ideas about gender through its profound celebration of growth, resilience, and shared humanity.”

The screening will be held at SVA - Beatrice on October 18th at 7PM, with a Q&A to follow. For more information about the festival and tickets, please click the link here.
