The International Sound & Film Music Festival (ISFMF) serves as a platform to honor the finest achievements in the world of sound design, film scoring, and audiovisual storytelling. The selected nominees represent the best of the best, coming from diverse cultural and artistic backgrounds. This year’s selection process was more competitive than ever, with an impressive 1,011 submissions from 83 countries across the globe.

Of these submissions, composer Rebekka Karijord (she/her) is nominated “Best Original Score: Documentary” for her score to the Norwegian nature documentary Songs of Earth, directed by Margreth Olin. Rebekka has received numerous accolades and praise for her work on the film, including most recently a Naturvision Film Music Award, an IDA Documentary Awards nomination for Best Original Music Score, a Cinema Eye Honors nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Score, as well as making the list as one of the ACL’s Best Film Scores of 2023. We are extremely proud and excited for her continued recognition of her amazing musical prowess.
