Emmy Nominees: The Andy Warhol Diaries, Lizzo’s Watch Out For The Big Grrrls, Reno 911!: The Hunt For QAnon
Emmy nominations were announced this morning, and three projects scored by Spectra Creative Agency clients received multiple nominations in their categories!
The Andy Warhol Diaries, scored by Brad Oberhofer, received four nominations, including Outstanding Documentary or Non-Fiction Series! Writer/Director Andrew Rossi was nominated for Outstanding Directing for a Documentary/Non-Fiction Program and Outstanding Writing for a Non-Fiction Program, and the series also received a nod for Outstanding Cinematography for a Non-Fiction Program. The series was executive produced by Ryan Murphy and is now streaming on Netflix. Netflix has released the first single from the forthcoming original soundtrack album from the series, “Life Has Passed Me By” by Brad Oberhofer, now streaming on all music platforms.
Lizzo’s Watch Out For The Big Grrrls, scored by EmmoLei Sankofa, received a staggering six Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Competition Program! The other nominated categories include Outstanding Director for a Reality Program to Nneka Onourah, Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program, Outstanding Picture Editing for a Structured Reality or Competition Program, Outstanding Cinematography for a Reality Program, and Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Non-Fiction or Reality Program (Single or Multi-camera). The series was produced by Bunim-Murray Productions and Amazon Studios and is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Reno 911!: The Hunt For QAnon, co-scored by Matthew Wang and Craig Wedren, received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding TV Movie. The movie, based on the Reno 911! series, was directed by Robert Ben Garant and is now streaming on Paramount+.
The 74th Emmy Awards will air on NBC and Peacock on September 12, 2022, and the Creative Arts Emmy Awards will take place on September 10, 2022.
