Caleb & Brian Chan Score Spectrum Originals’ ‘Panhandle’
Spectra Creative Agency’s newest signing, Vancouver-based brother composing duo Caleb and Brian Chan, have scored the Spectrum Originals series Panhandle, created and written by executive producers Nick Stoller and Carla Kettner, and executive produced by Conor Welch. The crime dramedy series, produced by Sony Pictures Entertainment and starring Luke Kirby and Tiana Okoye, premieres today.
The eight-episode series follows armchair detective Bell Prescott (Kirby) and traffic cop Cammie Lorde (Okoye) as they investigate a murder in their small Florida town.
Along with Kirby and Okoye, the series stars Forrest Goodluck, Lorenza Izzo, Wallace Smith, Glenn Morshower and Lesley Ann Warren. Recurring guest stars include Melanie Minichino, Landon Chase DuBois, Mo Gallini, David De Vries, Deja Dee, Paulina Gálvez, Scott Takeda and Grant Freely.” (Variety)
Caleb and Brian are currently nominated for two Canadian Screen Music Awards (CASMA) in the Best Original Score for a Children’s Program or Series category for their original scores for Apple TV’s Pinecone & Pony and Netflix’s Team Zenko Go, both from Dreamworks TV Animation. They also won the 2022 Leo Award for Best Musical Score for an Animation Series for their score to Netflix’s Angry Birds: Summer Madness, whose third season is now streaming.
