Caleb and Brian Chan Win 2024 SOCAN Breakout Composer Award

The 34th SOCAN Awards will honor the outstanding achievements of Canada’s most accomplished songwriters, composers, and music publishers over the past two years. We’re proud to announce that this year the brothers Caleb and Brian Chan (he/him) have won the prestigious SOCAN Breakout Composer Award! The brothers are deemed Special Achievement Winners alongside other notable Canadian icons such as Keith Power, Tobias Jesso Jr., Lauren Spencer-Smith, K’naan, Arkells, and Drake.

Caleb and Brian have had several notable accolades in the recent years, including multiple CASMA nominations from 2022 to 2024 (Fairly OddParents: A New WIsh, The Thundermans Return, Pinecone & Pony, Panhandle, Builder Brothers Dream Factory, Team Zenko Go); two Leo Awards wins in 2022 and 2023 (Angry Birds: Summer of Madness); as well as two 2024 Canadian Screen Awards nominations (Pinecone & Pony, Builder Brothers Dream Factory).
